About BorkR
What this is
BorkR is where the pup and handler scene, and the wider queer kink-adjacent community, finds each other in the real world. Events worth travelling for, the people going to them, and the pack you build along the way.
The app has three jobs: Events tells you what's on, from a bar social to a full festival programme. People shows you who's nearby and who you've actually met. Community lists the educators and projects the pack chooses to share.
How we think about it
Consent first. Nothing about you is shown without your say-so: not your location, not your presence, not your photos. Most things on BorkR are opt-in and reversible.
Real-world first. BorkR points at doors, not feeds. The measure of a good week here is who you met, not how long you scrolled.
Private by default. Being on BorkR is your business. Distances stay coarse, live location expires on its own, and outing someone is the fastest way off the platform.
Where we are
BorkR is in closed alpha: invite-only, rough edges, moving fast. Members get in when someone already here vouches for them. That is a deliberate trade with a real cost, and we have written down the whole argument, including who it shuts out: why we're invite-only. If you have an invite code, redeem it here.
Who makes it
BorkR is built by Jack Russell Technologies, a small team inside the scene it serves. The rainbow husky is called the mascot for legal reasons and the boss for accurate ones.
